Hartlepool Community Network

The Community Network
Much collaboration work is undertaken through the Hartlepool Community Network, which works with the following:

  • The Hartlepool Partnership and the Thematic Partnerships.
  • The Council’s Neighbourhood Consultative Fora.
  • Neighbourhood Action Plan Fora.
  • Working with specific sections of the community e.g. people with disabilities.
  • Targeted capacity building work with residents and specialist groups whose views are required in relation to any of the above.

Events and meetings for the Hartlepool VCS are organised as and when required by the Community Network and other HVDA staff.

Neighbourhood Action Plan Fora
The servicing of these fora is undertaken by the Community Network.

Building Collaboration
HVDA promotes collaboration and awareness of the activities of VCS groups and seeks to secure the involvement of voluntary organisations and community groups as equal partners in local decision-making processes. This is achieved by HVDA making direct representation to public sector providers, organising one-off specific consultation meetings and through a variety of fora facilitated by HVDA.
