Advance notification of a Job Vacancy in the Community Network
The main responsibilities of the post will be to provide support in the involvement of the Voluntary and Community Sector in the Local Strategic Partnership framework in Hartlepool. The postholder will also be required to assist with ensuring effective involvement in other partnerships and fora and to support groups through a targeted programme of capacity building. The specific responsibilities are:- To provide support to local people to become involved and play an active and equal role on the Hartlepool Partnership and in other public consultation exercises.
- To promote the work of the various partnerships boards and maintain channels of communication with residents area.
- To work in collaboration with other Community Network staff in order to provide for the support needs of representatives on partnerships and to arrange appropriate training programmes where necessary.
- To assist and support neighbourhood based fora and the development of sub-groups and working parties where appropriate.
- To assist residents and residents groups to ‘network’ together so that they can share ideas and information.
- To provide support and act in a secretariat role to area based fora where necessary and appropriate.
- To assist in the development of new and existing neighbourhood based community groups and to support the work of residents associations.
- To develop feedback and consultation mechanisms between resident and community representatives and the wider community.
- To liase with other partner agencies and work at the interface between public, private and voluntary sector organisations.
The post will be open to job share.
