Burbank Community Arts
A new project has just started in the Burbank area working with Ruth Hindmarsh, a professional community artist from omentum Arts, and is sponsored by Hartlepool Borough Councils Arts and Museum services.A taster day for participants from the community was held on Monday 18 February 2008. Residents who attended ranged from 8yrs to 70yrs+ and the idea is to create a Burbank pantomime that will be performed in February 2009. A range of skills can be learnt from performance to scriptwriting, set design, and other backstage skills. The project will run on a Saturday from the Burbank Community Centre. Of course the most important element will be FUN!! and with all generations working together that can hardly be avoided.
