Women’s International Day

 Women’s International Day Tea and Scone Event

The Community Network hosted a tea and scone event as a run up to International Women’s Day on Monday 3 March 2008 at Summerhill. The event was well attended and enjoyed by all.  Over 30 women from the Voluntary, Community and Statutory Sector came together to celebrate women’s involvement in decision-making processes and show appreciation for the role that women play in today’s society.  Feedback was positive—one women wrote ”what lovely scones and lovely company to match!  Great atmosphere, great opportunity to network…..cannot wait until next year”.  The support on the day was very much appreciated.
