Tees Valley Voluntary & Community Sector Forum
The Forum was established following HVDA's work in partnership with other Tees Valley Voluntary Sector Local Development Agencies. Government Change Up funding supported the establishment of a VCS Forum for the Tees Valley. The initial work began in September 2005 with the employment of a Tees Valley wide Co-ordinator based at HVDA.
The Forum is an umbrella body which takes up issues on behalf of the VCS in the Tees Valley and aims to ensure the sector has a strategic voice amongst public sector policy makers. It aims to lead, strengthen and support the VCS in Tees Valley, by providing an arena for discussion and the exchange of information.
We champion projects and partnerships, encourage funding into the sector, develop supportive policies and represent the sectors interests both at a Tees Valley and regional level.
Membership of the Forum is free and open to any Voluntary and Community Sector organisation in the Tees Valley. It is governed by a democratically elected Steering Group which includes representatives from each of the five districts in Tees Valley.
The Forum web site is Voluntary Organisations Exchange: www.vox-teesvalley.org
This new site provides news, information, details of forthcoming events, policy resources, useful links to partner organisations and offers an opportunity for the exchange of views. If you want to keep up to speed with the issues facing the Voluntary and Community sector stay tuned to VOX.
